As the title suggests, this 2012 project was designed for a property on Howe Island. The requirement was to create a magical master ensuite bedroom and bathroom, complete with walk in closet and direct access to the rear yard. The best part of this bungalow extension was its location on the water allowing the owners to have limitless wall to wall views of the water beyond. The entire property, the boat shed, and woodsy natural environment called for a CLT exposed beams and trusses throughout its vaulted ceiling. While this project did not get built, we enjoyed the design so much and were hoping to recreate this concept at a later date on another equally inspiring waterfront setting.
