As a double board licensed architect with the Ontario Association of Architects; OAA, as well as the OAQ with the Ordres des Architectes du Quebec, and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada; RAIC, Houry's vast competencies include architectural design, site planning, Pre design assessment, interior design, built-in furniture design, landscape architecture, and construction management and more.

Traveling across the globe, which happens to be one of Houry's biggest passions, is facilitated by being fluent in five languages. This simultaneously allows her to acquire a diverse cultural background, while undeniably supplementing and replenishing her creative vision and approach to design.

Houry's insatiable curiosity and unending thirst for inspiration worldwide is reinvigorated with each new journey she undertakes. Her clients can rely on her to tap into that deep reservoir of ideas she has to explore from, no matter what design challenge is on hand.

Houry's hallmark is her ability to orchestrate an exciting creative journey for her clients. Ha² Architecture & Design has humbly received numerous awards, including Housing Design Awards from the Greater Ottawa Home Builders' Association (local), Ontario Home Builders' Association (provincial), and the Canadian Home Builders' Association (national). The firm's accolades also extend to sustainable design, with the Wood Design & Building Award from the esteemed Canadian Wood Council.

Houry's works have been in distinguished publications such as the Ottawa Citizen, Ottawa Magazine, Style Magazine, Luxe Magazine, Our Homes Ottawa, and Celebrating Excellence in Wood Architecture by the Canadian Wood Council, where her projects have adorned the cover on multiple occasions.

Most recently, Houry renovated a run-down industrial building on Preston Street. The result was a repurposed retail space for her client, Form Furniture, accompanied by her new corporate office space she carved out for herself.

Tying into her earlier experience she gained while designing Commercial office towers in Montreal through the large firms she worked for upon graduating from the Universite de Montreal, this next step reinvigorated her desire to expand her portfolio outside of Residential custom homes. Poetically retracing her steps while equipped with a breadth of experience to follow it through now, is an exciting new endeavour she embraces as she moves forward in her career.

As an architect with a penchant for melding luxury and functionality, Houry creates spaces that captivate clients and onlookers. Her passion is in crafting unimagined worlds and projects, sparking joy, inspiration and conversation with every step one takes into the places she designs.
