Our clients approached us after searching for Ottawa architects known for thinking outside the box. Their vision was a 4,000-square-foot home on their teardown lot-designed for a family of four, with space to welcome their aging parents. Inspired by the family’s heritage, travels, and personal history, we developed an architectural language unlike anything we had explored before. That is exactly how we like it.

Curved windows, sculpted soffits, and ornate structural steel columns create a dynamic dialogue with the solidity of the flared masonry walls. Familiar references to the family’s homeland are thoughtfully fused with a fresh and contemporary design language.
The result is an elegant, multigenerational home that reflects its inhabitants and brings their family together. This home was designed in 2021.
