Designed in 2008, built in 2009, Brierwood residence was our first project in the city of Ottawa and first we designed, detailed and saw built as we began this solo design journey. It all started here with this one corner lot in Westboro, and if you know this city of Ottawa, you know this neighborhood was the best one to begin with. Custom homes were just starting to sprout here with just a few examples spreading here and there. This 2 story, 3500SF home blended a traditional style house with our contemporary touch, flair and custom details. We introduced Zinc and cedar siding, cedar soffits, roofline cutouts and verticality in expression. The central shadow stone wall anchored the house visually supporting the pitched roof at the top, while the base was a clean lined renaissance stone. Geothermal heating, radiant floors were among the many features of the home.
