The Open view Condo renovation, was more of a total transformation, leaping into the 21st Century.

This one bedroom condo unit, on the 8th floor of a 22 floor former apartment building, converted into condominiums, used to belong to an elderly family member.

As the unit was being passed on to a younger and more vibrant generation, its outdated and severely rundown space, using the same old plumbing fixtures and appliances needed a complete remodel to match its fresh new occupants.

Being an overly compartmentalized space, the first order of business was to gut it down and relocate, rewire and decongest the whole, into one, largely opened up main living space.

We removed the central wall which closed off the kitchen entirely, to have a full broad view of the bright skies and downtown skyline beyond while preparing one's daily meals.

Old layers of moldy carpets, parquet and vinyl flooring were removed and replaced with a bright grey toned heated tile, giving it a fresh contemporary feel.

We resized the tiny bathroom, by stealing the former bedroom closet and adding a full counter with built-in sink, where once, a pedestal sink was merely used.

Following the busier lifestyle trend, we removed the tub altogether and replaced it with a spectacular marble shower in its space. The bathroom bears no comparison to its ghastly predecessor.

The former closet was replaced with a full new one in the storage room.

By stealing a few extra inches from the living room space we were able to line the bedroom with a full wall closet, with its flooring, now covered with a warm and plush new carpet.

The kitchen its completely modern with white high gloss cabinetry and paneled sub zero fridge.

An added touch is the walnut veneered, custom, high breakfast bar, replacing the customary dinette table, keeping the entire space wide and open.
